As of today, there are three of us working on this project. Let me introduce ourselves. My name is Emma Miller, I live in London and am about to start my Msc. program in Economics. Naomi Kramer lives in Goshen, Indiana and is a star nursing student at Goshen College. Then we have William Troyer who is studying Finance at the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio.
What do the three of us have in common? We all grew up Amish and we’re passionate about education. So naturally – we really, really want to start a scholarship fund for people of Amish descent who are pursuing their undergraduate degree.
Now that we’ve come to that conclusion, the work begins! This blog is to provide transparency for our donors and supporters and to bring you along with us as we figure out how to achieve what we’ve set out to do. I don’t know what the blank pages hold before us but I truly hope that they will eventually bring the good news of our first scholarship winners and of many more after.
